Great news! We are honored to announce that we are the recipients of a 2012 Chamber Music America Grant for their Classical Commissioning Program!
We were one of 13 ensembles chosen out of 102 and will be commissioning the supremely talented Minnesota composer Mary-Ellen Childs to write a piece for trombone quartet and amplified violin to be performed with our favorite violinist Mary Rowell whom we have worked with extensively with Eve Beglarian and the River Project.
We can’t wait to get our hands on this new work and look forward to performing it around the country!
More information about the grant and other recipients can be found here.
This commission has been made possible by the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program, with generous funding provided by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Chamber Music America Endowment Fund.
